Sahana is an architect and spatial designer whose work bridges architecture, art, and community engagement. Recently licensed with the OAA, she spent six years at KPMB Architects, where she worked across design and communications—shaping narratives through presentations, proposals, and public-facing materials while collaborating on large-scale urban projects. Her practice is grounded in the belief that design is a civic tool: a way to foster equity, invite participation, and spark dialogue about the future of the built environment.

Beyond architectural practice, Sahana draws on her passion for storytelling to create spaces that encourage interaction and connection. Alongside the Hot Pink Neutrinos collective, she contributed to a series of public installations for We Live Up Here in Sudbury, Ontario—transforming everyday spaces into dynamic environments that celebrated art and place-making. Her work includes an installation for the MOVE: Big Installation Party hosted by the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), as well as evocative set design and creative direction for musician Waryaa’s debut performances.

She is also passionate about mentorship and knowledge-sharing, regularly engaging with emerging graduates and students through guest critiques at the MSoA, public speaking, and events. Her outreach experience includes helping to organize Doors Open at KPMB and serving on the Toronto Society of Architects’ K–12 Taskforce, work that continues to inform and enrich her own professional growth.

Sahana seeks to push the boundaries of traditional architectural practice by uniting disciplines and engaging with diverse audiences. Whether through buildings, public art, installations, or immersive stage sets, she is committed to fostering equity and collaboration within the spaces she creates, ensuring they resonate with and reflect the communities they serve. Her multifaceted approach highlights the potential of design as a catalyst for meaningful interdisciplinary conversations and a tool for reimagining urban life.
